Wessex photo competition
This is for fun and should be seen as such. If taken too seriously the event might be cancelled.
There will be 5 competitions a year. 4 competitions will cover a period of 3 months each:
- December, January, February
- March, April, May
- June, July, August
- September, October, November
The periods could reflect the seasons and the fact that this is a motoring club.
The final competition will be held at the Christmas lunch where the first 3 placed entries for each of the competitions will be judged to find an overall winner for the year.
Rules are as follows:
- Each entrant to be limited to a maximum of 3 photographic entries per period
- All entries to be printed in 6"x4" format
- Each entry to CLEARLY display the name of the entrant, the period, and the year of the entry on the back
- All photographs entered for a period to be received by the 1st club weekday meeting following the end of that period
- The results of the judging of a period to be announced at the 2nd club weekday meeting following the end of that period
- There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place result for each period
- Any entries may be forwarded to STHT for possible inclusion in the club magazine
- The first 3 placed entries for each period will be carried forward to a final competition for the overall winner of each year. This competition is to be held at the Christmas lunch where the 12 final photographs will be displayed.
- The judging to be decided by the judges enjoyment of the photograph - not just on technical or artistic merit
- The judge's decision is final and any discussion could result in an entry or entrant being withdrawn.
